I am still here ✋🏻

I am still here and still have that bastard inside me. Just January is a month of realisations and self-awareness. As long as I have a Bday on 24 th and I broke a tradition this year so my head is not filled with traveling thoughts. Yes, I made some resolutions on 31 st. of December, but did not go through all of them.

January was a month full of secret crying and fake smiles. Sometimes I could not stop myself and cried next to my parents, but tried not to show it. I knew I couldn’t scare them anymore. I am under the radar anyways.

I was tired of this cancer situation, of being dependent on someone almost 24/7, of all the medicine I needed to take…but then I smiled through tears and moved further.

Everyday my dad took me for a walk, so I understood how important persistence is.

First forget inspiration. Habit is more dependable. Habit will sustain you whether you’re inspired or not. Habit will help you finish and polish your stories. Inspiration won’t. Habit is persistence in practice.

Octavia Butler, Bloodchild and Other Stories

If you aren’t in the mood to do something you want or need, that is not an excuse. It can be health excuses, but not mood.

I know most of you know it, I knew it as well, but actually just now it got to my head, that there are no “bad mood” days. Bad mood day is the same as sports at the beginning of January. You get excited in the beginning, and then you start to look for silly reasons, so quickly you just pay for a membership.

With persistence you can reach unbelievable things, so please if you want change in your life, do something for it everyday. Know that you may feel bored or lazy, but do it anyway. Please!

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
